DECLAN MURPHY has hailed Salford Red Devils for giving him the chance to live out his “dream” playing Super League.
The livewire fullback will link up with Hull KR next season after signing a three-year deal with the treble winners.
Murphy impressed in a short stint at Salford, where he made seven appearances after joining from rugby union side Saracens in the summer.
The 20-year-old paid tribute to the club and its fans, saying: “My time at Salford may only have been short, but I’ve felt the full impact on what this club means to its incredible community.
“I couldn’t be more thankful to this club for helping me with my transition into rugby league and giving me the opportunity to live my dream playing Super League.
“To the supporters, your passion and dedication has made every game an unforgettable experience. Your backing of this club/team in tough circumstances has been an inspiration.
”As I go on to my next chapter, I’ll forever be grateful for my time as a Red.”
