Hull KR bring back stand to expand Craven Park capacity

HULL KR’S Sewell Group Craven Park will have capacity for more than 12,000 people at every game this season.

The Super League champions have confirmed the return of south stand seating in response to “unprecedented” demand for tickets.

A temporary structure, which provides 1,062 seats, was first installed towards the end of the 2024 season, and then brought back last August.

It allowed the club to post attendances of 12,338 for a derby fixture with Hull FC, and 12,332 for their play-off semi-final against St Helens.

Hull KR boast that they had already sold all home tickets for eight of this year’s fixtures and had sold out their memberships with a waiting list for new members – achievements chief executive Paul Lakin has described as “remarkable”.

He said: “Selling out eight home games and surpassing 10,000 full-season members so early is a testament to the unwavering support of our fans.

“Bringing back the south stand for every Super League home fixture was a natural step for the club to ensure as many supporters as possible can be part of what promises to be another exciting season.”

Memberships will now go on sale for the south stand, although Hull KR won’t have a Super League fixture at their home until St Helens visit on March 27.

That’s because Hull KR’s round-two fixture with Warrington Wolves has been postponed due to their World Club Challenge with Brisbane Broncos (itself moved to the 25,500-capacity MKM Stadium and sold out), while the following round’s tie with Leeds Rhinos is being played in Las Vegas.
