Hull KR still looking for recruits after Cox departure

Hull KR’s Head of Rugby Jamie Peacock has insisted that the club are still looking for new recruits for 2016 after the departure of prop Jordan Cox to Warrington.

Cox has crossed the Pennines to join the Wolves on a one-year deal, with KR still interested in bringing in new faces for next season to bolster their squad.

And Peacock, freshly appointed to the role after ending his playing career earlier this year, says that the club are attempting to act smartly and wisely to ensure they get their recruitment policy spot on.

“From our point of view, we’re looking to further improve the squad for next season and we have identified areas where we would like to strengthen,” said Peacock.

“We are exploring all our options but any new player must fit into our philosophy, both on and off the field.

“We have a long-term plan in place in terms of recruitment and we are only interested in players who fit into this strategy.”
