The worldwide expansion of Rugby League continued last week, after Mexico hosted its first ever Rugby League 9s event. Mexico is very new to the game, but there are serious waves being made to develop the game in the country, to try and continue the development of RL in the Americas.
Last Saturday saw a 9s event held just outside Mexico City, with a number of teams taking part in the event – believed to be the first tournament of its kind held in Mexico. A video of some of the action is below, which will hopefully prove that Rugby League is indeed growing, and it’s becoming a worldwide game by the day!
