Was Jacob Miller’s drop goal the best ever?

The Wakefield halfback’s incredible match-winning drop goal has gone viral after his halfway line effort handed Wakefield a massive victory over Catalans.

Miller’s audacious one-pointer put emphasis in the ‘magic’ part of Magic Weekend and had many people questioning if there had ever been a better one-pointer.

Speaking to League Express, Miller said, “I think I just got a bit lucky there,” but that doesn’t mean we should take anything away from him.

While Miller’s effort was spectacular, there have been a number of fantastic drop goals in past. A memorable effort came from the boot of Pat Richards, who landed an incredible drop goal in a game between Wigan and St Helens at Langtree Park in 2013.

Even this year, Chris Sandow dropped a fantastic goal in the last minute of Warrington’s victory over Salford and did the same while playing for South Sydney in a golden point victory.

There are plenty of candidates, but what do you think. Was Miller’s drop goal the best ever? Vote below.
