HEAD coach Kurt Haggerty says Bradford Bulls will only get better with Jayden Nikorima at the controls following a memorable debut.
After spending the opening weeks on the sidelines with a calf injury, Nikorima scored two tries as Bradford closed out a 26-14 win at home to Huddersfield Giants.
Chris Atkin (permanent signing), Jack Ormondroyd (season loan) and Tray Lolesio (one-week loan) also made their club debuts as the Bulls made it three home wins from three back in Super League.
Haggerty said: “Huddersfield were really good. They showed a willingness and got a roll on but we ultimately grew into the game, moved their middles and improved our line speed.
“Jayden was comfortably the best on the field, he’s brought the energy this week and we’ll improve as a team on the back of him.
“I’d like to think this is becoming a fortress at home. The confidence is growing even though we don’t think we’ve performed tonight to our highest level.
“Chris Atkin will get better in the system and will be great wherever we put him.
“To get Jack over the line was important too – it’s been a crazy week.
“I don’t think we’ve got many back for next week but I try not to speak about it publicly and just focus on what we have got.”
