Kear names Wales squad for World Cup Qualifiers

John Kear has named his 29-man train-on squad for Wales’ 2017 Rugby League World Cup Qualifiers this autumn.

Salford forward Craig Kopczak captains the side, with teammate Phil Joseph being named vice-captain.

Fellow Super League stars Gil Dudson, Rhys Evans, Ben Flower and Lloyd White will also feature in a team that boasts four players from the South Wales Ironmen.

Wales will face Serbia on Saturday, October 15 at Stebonheath Park, Llanelli, before travelling to Monza to face Italy on Saturday, October 29.

After winning the European Championship in 2015, Kear and his side will want to achieve further success by qualifying for next year’s World Cup.
