KEIGHLEY COUGARS coach Jake Webster says his players need to learn lessons from this year’s defeats.
Following a 26-0 pre-season loss to Bradford, the Cougars went down 72-12 to York in round two of the Challenge Cup.
“We have put a very young team out and there is no continuity in that,” he said.
“The boys have had to really step it up and I’ve put a lot of pressure on them. We need to do that in case we have injuries or suspensions.
“I’ve learnt a lot about them and I’ve learnt we need our strong players fit and in the right positions.
“We will be working hard to make sure they are not suspended.”
