LEADING Super League and NRL agent, Chris Orr, has been handed a sixth month ban and a fine of $10,000 following breaches of the Accredited Agent Scheme Rules.
Along with Orr, Mario Tartak, Matt Desira and Nash Dawson have also been heavily sanctioned for various indiscretions.
Dawson and Orr have both been suspended after an altercation between the pair at a schools championship game in 2024. It was also alleged that both failed to co-operate with the NRL’s Integrity Unit in the investigation, too.
But, that could have implications on some of Super League’s and the NRL’s biggest names with Leeds Rhinos halfback Brodie Croft, Hull KR prop Jai Whitbread and St Helens back-rower Shane Wright amongst some of Orr’s clients.
Orr cannot conduct any business during his period of suspension which means for the likes of Croft – who is out of contract at the end of the 2026 Super League campaign – it promises to be an uncertain time.
