TotalRL understands that Leeds Rhinos are in the final stages of securing a deal for Penrith Panthers star James Segeyaro.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a move to the Rhinos recently, with reports in Australia earlier this week claiming he is preparing for a move to England.
A deal could be announced as soon as today.
Segeyaro has been at the Panthers since 2013 and is a specialist at hooker. The deal is thought to run until the end of the 2017 season, but reports suggest there could be a break clause which allows Segeyaro to return to the NRL at the end of this season.
The Rhinos have been interested in Wests hooker Robbie Farah over recent weeks, with the NRL club understood to be keen on a swap deal including Zak Hardaker.
Penrith are also thought to be interested in signing the current Man of Steel and a similar deal could be in place between the two clubs.
Hardaker was recently transfer-listed by Leeds after expressing his desire to move to the NRL. The Rhinos have valued the England full-back at £300,000.
