Leuluai happy to finish at Old Trafford

Leeds Rhinos prop Kylie Leuluai has revealed he’s delighted he gets the opportunity to retire at Old Trafford – and alongside teammates Kevin Sinfield and Jamie Peacock.

All three icons of the Rhinos will bow out on Saturday night in the Grand Final against Wigan, with Leuluai bringing a hugely successful spell in England with the Rhinos to an end after signing from the NRL in 2007.

And he says it’s great they can all bow out together, and says he’s delighted to have one more crack at the Grand Final at the weekend.

“I couldn’t think of a better way to finish than with those two,” he said. “We’ve had some great times over the nine years I’ve been at the club.

“I think I’d feel a bit lonely if I was bowing out by myself. Going out with the company of those two has definitely made it much easier.

“I’m just grateful that I’ve got the opportunity to play at Old Trafford again,” he added.

“I’ve had so many memorable moments at this field but getting the win this weekend is easier said than done.”
