LIAM MOORE will take charge of his fifth Super League Grand Final in six years this Saturday.

The 31-year-old has established himself as the game’s top official, having also overseen four Challenge Cup Finals.

He has been the referee at both major finals in each of the past two seasons, while he was also in the middle for February’s World Club Challenge.

No other official has blown the whistle in more than three Grand Finals, with Russell Smith, Ashley Klein, Richard Silverwood and Chris Kendall all having done so.

For Saturday’s Super League decider between Warrington Wolves and Wakefield Trinity at Old Trafford, Moore will be aided by Jack Smith as the video referee.

Marcus Griffiths and Matty Lynn will be the tough judges with Kendall, the only other man to officiate a Grand Final since 2018, the reserve referee.

Liam Rush, meanwhile, has been appointed referee for Sunday’s Championship Grand Final between London Broncos and Doncaster at the Cherry Red Records Stadium.
