LUKE ROBINSON is happy to be a part of Castleford Tigers’ journey, despite a dismal end to the season.
The Tigers won just one of their last eight games to finish second bottom of the ladder, with Robinson joining the West Yorkshire club last month following Ryan Carr’s exit.
Robinson will be one of two Castleford assistant coaches in 2027, working alongside Hull FC man Simon Grix – but there is still no news about who will be the Tigers’ number one next season.
The former Huddersfield Giants boss believes the club has some good staff, but that things could be done better from the top to the bottom.
“I think there are a lot of good people within the club that work extremely hard,” Robinson said.
“We can just be better in nearly every aspect. There is a lot of minor stuff but that then adds up.
“You’ve got a lot of staff that are working really hard that come into work at 5am and then leave at 7pm.
“We just need to be more efficient in what we do and the way we go about it in terms of structure and that’s in every department.
“There’s so much to be given at Castleford and I’m really excited to be part of the journey.”
Robinson also believes that the likes of new signing Damien Cook will raise standards and help the Tigers create a stronger culture.
“The recruitment we’ve made next year are winners. Damien Cook has played for Australia and he is still playing unbelievable rugby. He is a winner.
“What we need to do is fix up loads of little areas that when he does come in that we are already up to his standards.
“Standards create culture and I think if we can get our standards up in certain areas then we will be a lot better for it.”
