LIAM WATTS has left Hull FC for a second time following confirmation that his contract will not be renewed.
After a seven-year absence, Watts returned to the MKM Stadium in March on a short-term deal from Castleford Tigers, making eight appearances across the campaign.
The veteran prop, who has over 380 career appearances under his belt since making his senior debut with Castleford in 2007, ran out 160 times for Hull across eight seasons with the club.
Watts first joined the Black and Whites from city rivals Hull KR in 2012, and was a member of the squad that lifted back-to-back Challenge Cups in 2017 and 2018.
He joins team-mates Jordan Rapana (who is retiring), Jordan Lane (who has signed for Castleford Tigers), Jack Ashworth, Will Gardiner, Jack Charles and Zach Jebson in departing the club, as well as Wigan Warriors loanee Sam Eseh.
Watts’ exit was announced during Hull’s awards night, at which veteran star Zak Hardaker was the big winner.
Hardaker claimed the top Player of the Year prize, as well as being selected as their best by both players and supporters.
Lewis Martin, Super League’s top try-scorer in the regular season with 25 and one of two Dream Team inclusions from Hull alongside Herman Ese’ese, was named Young Player of the Year.
