Logan Tomkins heads to Salford again in double coup

Wigan Warriors have loaned hooker Logan Tomkins out to Salford Red Devils for another spell with the club, with former London Broncos forward Olsi Krasniqi also joining on a season-long contract, the club have confirmed.

The 22-year-old hooker spent last season on loan from Wigan to Salford, for whom he made 18 appearances.

He returned to his home-town club at the start of this season and played in their first three matches, including the World Club Series defeat to Brisbane Broncos.

However, he has since fallen down the pecking order at the DW Stadium and has agreed a second loan spell with the Red Devils, who have first-choice hooker Tommy Lee sidelined long term with injury.

According to chairman Marwan Koukash, Salford also have an option on Tomkins for 2016, when middle brother Sam will return to Wigan from a stint with New Zealand Warriors.

Logan and Sam appeared alongside oldest brother Joel once in a pre-season friendly but have yet to line up in Super League.
