London Broncos claim Sean Long’s sacking as assistant coach was performance related, and nothing to do with the former Saints star’s return to rehab.
In a statement, the Broncos said: “We would like to clarify the situation concerning Sean Long. Unfortunately, Sean’s performances as an assistant coach did not meet the professional levels expected at the club.
“As a result his position as full time assistant is no longer continuing. Whilst this decision had to be made by the club, we Sean the best for the future.”
