London sign Matty Fozard from Sheffield – as first revealed in League Express

London Broncos have completed their first signing since securing promotion back to Super League, with the capture of Sheffield utility Matty Fozard on a two-year deal – as first revealed in League Express this past Monday.

The Welsh international becomes the first player to officially sign with the Broncos since they won promotion via the Million Pound game, having made over 100 appearances for the Eagles during his three years with the club.

“I’m ecstatic to be given the opportunity to play for the London Broncos for the next two seasons,” he said.

“It’s an even bigger privilege now that the team have successfully made back into Super League. I can’t thank Danny Ward and Graeme Taylor, my agent, enough for allowing me this opportunity to be back playing at the elite level. I’m very eager to start my time at this club and can’t wait to meet all the boys, staff and the Broncos fans.”

Head coach Danny Ward said: “We have kept a close eye on Matty throughout the season & he has performed consistently well. He is young, hungry and will benefit massively from being in a full-time environment.”

Chairman David Hughes added: “Matty has been on our radar all season and we are very excited to have another young hungry player within the ranks at London Broncos.”
