London Broncos have signed former Catalans and Leigh hooker Eloi Pelissier on a short-term contract to help boost their push to make the Qualifiers..
Pelissier has been playing his rugby in the French Championship for the past few months at Lezignan Sangliers – but has returned to England to help Danny Ward’s side at a critical stage of the campaign.
“I am really happy to get a new opportunity to play at London Broncos,” he said.
“My aim is to make the top four with this club and know I will enjoy it here. I already know a few of the players which always helps too. I will try and bring the experience of my seven years in Super League to the club and I hope I can bring a small extra percentage to the side.
“I watched the team play in Toulouse and liked what I saw. I thought they were unlucky not to get the win.”
Head coach Ward said: “We are delighted to have Eloi joining us at the Broncos heading into the final third of the season. He has a lot of Super League experience in England and we hope he will bring a lot of qualities to the group.”
Broncos chairman David Hughes said: “It’s a great opportunity for us to bring a player of such quality and with so much Super League experience to the capital. We have been watching him for a while and we are very happy to finally have the chance to see him play in London Broncos colours.”
