Manly star open to Super League clubs

Super League clubs have been alerted to another NRL player in the shape of Manly outside back Brendan Elliot.

The 26-year-old is open to Super League offers with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.

Elliot almost came to the UK two years ago after agreeing to sign for Leigh Centurions during the 2018 season. The move was so close that Leigh even confirmed the deal but Elliot’s club at the time, Gold Coast Titans, blocked his release after suffering an injury crisis.

Instead, he moved to Manly last season and made 18 appearances for the Sea Eagles during their 2019 campaign.

He made his first appearance of the season last week as Manly overcame a Canberra Raiders side featuring George Williams, Elliott Whitehead and Ryan Sutton.

He has scored 21 tries in 59 NRL appearances and is able to play at wing or centre.
