YORK KNIGHTS boss Mark Applegarth was pleased after his side secured back-to-back Super League victories for the first time.
“We spoke about going back-to-back this year, now we can finally start looking up the table,” Applegarth said following their 36-24 Magic Weekend victory over Huddersfield Giants at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
“It’s a massive performance for us and I’m really glad we went back-to-back. I thought we started sloppy in the second half. Huddersfield were rolling us too easily, but we got back into it.
“We took our foot off the gas in the last ten minutes. But I’m just glad these men can enjoy the win in this fantastic stadium.
“We want to be competing at the right end of the table, but you have to go through these processes to do that. We’ve got back-to-back wins but we’re still nowhere near where we want to be.”
