Match Report: Canterbury Bulldogs 40 Melbourne Storm 12

In a Nutshell

The Bulldogs led 12-10 at half-time in a match played at Perth’s nib Stadium, but they ran away with the game in the second half to register a resounding victory against the previously undefeated Storm.

How it unfolded

Cameron Smith was a shock withdrawal for the Storm just before the game began.

Smith suffered a back spasm in the pre-game warm-up, but it didn’t stop the Storm from grabbing an early ten-point lead.

Billy Slater andWill Chambers scored the Storm’s early tries, both created by Cooper Cronk.

But after that the Bulldogs took control, scoring seven unanswered tries through Trent Hodkinson, Josh Morris, David Klemmer, Josh Jackson, James Graham, Chase Stanley and Tim Lafai.

Graham did well to recover from a knock to the head in the second minute of rhe game.

The game attracted 12,014 spectators in wet condition in the West Australian capital.
