How it unfolded
The Rabbitohs took the lead with a penalty by Adam Reynolds for stealing the ball after ten minutes.
And they extended their lead late in the first half with converted tries by Luke burgess. and Jason Clark to give them a 14-point lead at half-time.
And their lead was extended to 20 points after 55 minutes when Sam Burgess scored under the posts for a converted try. Greg Inglis added a try, and the Dragons finally got on the scoreboard eight minutes from time with a consolation try from Jack de Belin that was converted by Gareth Widdop.
