TotalRL understands that the RFL Match Review Panel have requested extra information involving Dave Taylor and an alleged eye-gouge on Saints fullback Jonny Lomax.
The Match Review Panel are understood to have delayed making a decision on the matter until next week as they seek further information from both clubs and the players involved in the incident.
Taylor was accused of trying to eye-gouge Lomax in Catalans’ defeat to Saints on Friday, a game in which Taylor scored for the Dragons.
If found guilty, Taylor could be handed a considerable suspension that would end his season.
The former Gold Coast Titans player last week pleaded guilty to drug charges going back to his time in Australia in 2014. He will be sentenced upon return to the country in November once the Super League season finishes.
