Mathieu Pons signs new Toulouse Olympique deal

MATHIEU PONS is “delighted” to have signed a new one-year deal with Toulouse Olympique.

He’s received a contract extension despite playing just two games for the club since joining ahead of this season.

The winger made his Super League debut against Hull KR in April and also appeared against Leigh Leopards last month.

Pons said: “I’m delighted and honoured to continue my journey with Toulouse Olympique.

“I can’t wait to keep giving my all and working hard to help the club achieve its goals and continue its rise up the Super League table.”

The 24-year-old began his career in the UK with Halifax Panthers in 2024, registering two appearances before moving to Oldham for 2025.

At Oldham, Pons scored seven tries in seven games and earned a big move to Super League newcomers Toulouse.

He is the latest Toulouse player to commit their future to the club, with Henry O’Kane, Jake Shorrocks and Thomas Lacans also etching new deals.
