Miserable Leeds hammered again

Leeds’ dreadful year hit a new low as they conceded 50 points against Warrington, eventually losing 52-18.

Despite taking the lead in the second minute through Jimmy Keinhorst, they were soon 18-6 behind following Warrington tries through Gene Ormsby, Tom Lineham and Brad Dwyer. However, Brett Ferres’ first of two tries for the evening pulled the score back to 18-12 at half-time.

Ferres’ effort proved to be nothing but false hope for the Leeds following, however, as Ryan Atkins, Ormsby, Stefan Ratchford, Kurt Gidley and Daryl Clark (2) meant the Rhinos left the Halliwell Jones stadium embarrassed, with Ferres’ second of the evening the only thing to show for their second-half performance.

A full report and reaction will be in Monday’s League Express.
