GOOLE VIKINGS have signed experienced playmaker Morgan Punchard for the remainder of the Championship season.
The 27-year-old, who has spent time with both Rochdale Hornets and Midlands Hurricanes in the second tier this season, most recently featured for Lock Lane in the National Leagues Premier Division, the club he played with as a junior.
Punchard, who is able to cover a number of spine positions, made his professional debut for South Wales in 2017, on loan from Halifax Panthers, before later turning out for Featherstone Rovers, Dewsbury Rams and Cornwall.
His arrival is a timely one for the injury-hit Vikings, who travel to North Wales Crusaders on Sunday hoping for a seventh win of the season.
