Nate Myles has put an end to weeks of speculation over his future by agreeing to a 3 year contract with the Manly Sea-Eagles from next year.
Myles had been tipped for a move to Manly earlier in the year, which coincided with news that Manly’s current halfback, Daly Cherry-Evans, reconsidering his decision to leave the club next year.
Cherry-Evans has agreed to a long term deal with Myles’ current club the Gold Coast Titans, but rumours are suggesting that he is getting cold feet and wants to back out of the deal.
While Cherry-Evans and Myles are friends, it was due to the big salary provided to Cherry-Evans that has seen the Titans unable to retain their current captain and Test star Myles.
Myles revealed that a major reason for the decision to move from the Gold Coast to Sydney’s northern beaches was to play alongside some great players and to help his wife further her acting career.
“The decision to leave our home was difficult, however Manly is a beautiful part of the world which provides both Tessa and I the opportunity to continue to develop our careers, relationship and family.”
