BRAD BRENNAN will spend a third season with Whitehaven after signing a one-year contract extension with the club.
The deal means that the prop will remain at the club until the end of the 2027 season.
Going into Sunday’s clash with Swinton Lions, the 33-year-old has made 39 appearances for the Cumbrian side since joining on a two-year deal ahead of the 2025 season, and has scored scoring six tries.
“I’m over the moon to sign again,” said Brennan.
“The club is fantastic and I am really enjoying my time here. I joined during the rebuild and I’ve seen this team grow, so it’s exciting to see where the club can go and where it is heading.”
Brennan is joined in the squad on Sunday by Woody Walker who has joined on an initial one-week loan deal from Castleford Tigers, in what is a vital signing for coach James Newton.
“We’re at bare bones and bruised and battered at the moment,” said Newton.
“We needed a player to get 18 players together, so I’d like to thank Woody and Castleford.”
Meanwhile the club have also confirmed that local businessman Tony Pearce, father of Haven backrower Ben Pearce, has joined the board of directors.
