NORTH WALES CRUSADERS have promised a “comprehensive review” following their 94-0 home loss to Halifax.
It’s been a challenging period since the Colwyn Bay club emerged from a mid-season insolvency episode under new ownership.
With a new and hastily-assembled squad, they have conceded at least 80 points in each of those matches.
A break in fixtures has provided a chance to regroup and for coach Mike Grady to take stock ahead of the trip to his former club Salford on Sunday.
Crusaders said: “Conceding more than 90 points on our home ground is completely unacceptable, and we will not hide from that reality.
“A comprehensive review of everything that happened on the field has begun.
“First and foremost, we are a rugby club. While defeats are part of sport, the manner of a defeat matters.
“We fell drastically short of the effort, pride and standards expected.
“Words alone will not put this right. We must take responsibility, learn from what happened and show a meaningful response through our actions and performances.
“We are deeply sorry. We know improvement must be demonstrated, not merely promised.”
Grady has been at the helm for three games after being in charge of relaunched Salford for their first eight this season.
