North Wales Crusaders v Swinton Lions preview and 21-man squads

Both North Wales and Swinton will be battling to get off the mark when they meet on Saturday at Stadiwm Eirias in Colwyn Bay.

The Crusaders had a bye in the first round before going down 28-14 with a highly respectable away display against Widnes Vikings in round 2.

Swinton, on the other hand, will be playing away for the first time in the Championship this season, having lost two tight home games against Rochdale Hornets and Goole Vikings respectively.

The Crusaders have been strengthened recently by the addition of Danny Addy from Featherstone Rovers and they have listed fans favourites Patrick Ah Van in their squad after some had assumed that he had retired from the game.

The Lions, however, will fancy their chances after having had a tough Challenge Cup exit against Wakefield Trinity, which will no doubt have strengthened their resolve to secure their first win of the season.
