LEEDS RHINOS star Cameron Smith is adamant that he is not thinking about his future at Headingley, despite being out of contract at the end of the 2026 Super League season.
Smith endured a difficult 2025, spending most of the campaign on the sidelines with injury and registering just 12 appearances.
And despite having played all of his career with the Rhinos, there are no guarantees that Smith will be around forever at the West Yorkshire club.
That being said, the 27-year-old is merely focused on getting back out on the field following a stop-start 2025.
“I’ve not given the contract much thought,” Smith told League Express.
“I just want to get back playing and I’ve got my testimonial to focus on.
“I’ve got to tick all those boxes before I worry about my contract.
“The discussions are for me, my agent and Bleasey (Ian Blease, sporting director) to have but I’m not even looking at that now.”
Smith’s head coach, Brad Arthur, has now been in charge of Leeds for almost two seasons.
And the 27-year-old has given the nod of approval to the former Parramatta Eels boss.
“Brad Arthur is really good, he’s really intense. He’s the type of coach that demands respect.
“He holds us very accountable. All the lads are buying into it and I think you’ll see a great Leeds side this year.”
