Oledzki the perfect fit for PNG Second Test

Mikolaj Oledzki believes that his game is a perfect fit for the England Knights’ game against Papua New Guinea in Port Moresby.

Leeds Rhinos’ prop forward is expecting a physical challenge from the hosts in the second Test and knows that that plays to his strengths.

“I don’t really offer much skill, I just carry the ball hard and try to tackle hard,” said Oledzki.

“I don’t really have much of a passing game so this is the kind of game that suits me the most.

“It doesn’t get much better than this at my age and level. I’m absolutely over the moon to be involved in this game. I’m really looking forward to a new challenge. Everyone has bigged up how physical these games are, especially against PNG.

“They’re a team full of hard-working players who love to shoot out the line and come for you. You can expect the physicality and a bit of old school rubbing heads in tackles on the floor.

Not only is Oledzki keen to perform well for the Knights on Saturday, he believes it’s also essential that his side come away with the series victory.

“If we don’t win this one, we don’t win the series so it’s essential we win this game and prove to everyone that even though we’re England Knights, we’re here to do the job and we can do the job over PNG in one of the toughest environments there is.”
