Catalan Dragons forward Olivier Elima has been banned for four matches after being found guilty of dangerous play.
The France captain was put on report in last week’s clash at Hull FC when he appeared to twist the leg of hooker Aaron Heremaia upon completion of a tackle.
He was charged by the RFL’s match-review panel with a grade D offence, which carries a ban of three to five matches.
Hull’s Joe Westerman reacted angrily to Elima on the field and coach Lee Radford described it as ‘an act of cowardice’.
