Penrith win big over the Titans

Penrith Panthers ran in six tries as they comfortably beat Gold Coast Titans 35-12.

It was the Titans who were on the board first, however. Dale Copley opened the scoring before Corey Harawira-Naera responded to bring the Panthers back to within two.

Penrith took the lead into half-time when New South Wales forward James Tamou notched.

Two tries from Dylan Edwards and Tyrone Peachey, plus a James Maloney penalty had Penrith in control before the Titans replied through Anthony Don.

A second try for  Harawira-Naera and another from Christian Crichton sealed the win while Maloney slotted a field goal to rub salt into the wounds of the Titans.

The win for Penrith draws them level with New Zealand Warriors in second while the Titans remain just outside the top eight after defeat.
