Pomeroy weighing up future

Catalans centre Ben Pomeroy is unsure where he will be playing in 2016 as his contract with the Dragons comes to an end.

Pomeroy joined the French club at the start of 2014 from NRL side Cronulla Sharks on a two-year deal.

“I haven’t made any decisions on next year,” Pomeroy admitted.

“I’m not sure what’s going on but hopefully it gets sorted out very soon. My wife’s very keen for that to be finished very soon, just to know where we are next year would be nice.”

The centre, who debuted in the NRL with the Penrith Panthers back in 2004, said he isn’t ruling any options out, either returning to Australia, staying with the Dragons or moving to England with another Super League club. “If they don’t want me here I could go back to the NRL somewhere, but that depends if anyone wants me,” Pomeroy said.

“I’m getting long in the tooth. I wouldn’t rule it out. I’m pretty happy here in France but if I’m not here I’d like to be back in Australia in the NRL if anyone needs me. But I wouldn’t rule out going to England either, we’ll see. I could be anywhere.”
