One in, one out at Wakefield

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats have confirmed the signing of Bill Tupou, whilst Matt Ryan has left the club.

Tupou, a Tongan international, joins the Wildcats with immediate effect from the Canberra Raiders and is available for selection ahead of this weekend’s clash with Huddersfield.

Tupou made 62 appearances at New Zealand Warriors before moving to Canberra. His arrival adds competition out wide, particularly at centre after Dean Collis’ departure and is the latest player to join the club since Brian Smith’s arrival.

Speaking to Wakefield’s official website, Tupou said “I am extremely excited about the opportunity I have here at Wakefield Trinity. I want to help the club remain in Super League and will give my everything to try and make that happen.”
