Postponed clash between Halifax and Huddersfield won’t be rearranged

Halifax RLFC have confirmed their pre-season fixture against Huddersfield will NOT be rearranged.

The match, originally scheduled for yesterday, was postponed by Calderdale Council following fears over the state of the pitch.

It was hoped that the game would take place this Wednesday, although that plan has now been knocked back.

Halifax director Ian Croad said: “Huddersfield didn’t want to play on Wednesday and there is no other opportunity before the season starts on February 7.

“There was no opposition available to play on Wednesday and the quick turnaround would not be beneficial in the preparation of our players.”
