Castleford Tigers coach Daryl Powell has set his sights on five wins from seven in the Super 8s to assure themselves of a top-four finish.
The Tigers kick off the next phase of the season on Friday night when they host Hull FC, and when asked what Powell thinks would be a realistic goal to secure fourth, he said a strike rate of five out of seven should be the target.
“I think we need to win five out of seven from the position we’re in,” he said.
“It’s going to be really competitive and tough. I think it’s a good system and I’m really excited about what we’ve got in front of us.
“With having two home games at the start, if we can do ourselves justice then it gives us a chance to start the Super 8s well.”
