ST HELENS star Tony Puletua has confirmed on Twitter that he will join Salford next season.
Puletua, 34, who is out of contract at St Helens at the end of the season, has been linked with the Reds for several weeks. On Friday he confirmed a story that appeared in a national newspaper about his impending move on a two-year contract.
“To all the Saints fans. Thank you so much for the support over the years here at this great club. It’s been an honour! Onwards for 2013,” he wrote.
“I apologise about the announcement coming out in the papers before I said anything. It’s not how I wanted it to happen.”
