Another one bites the dust. Unfortunately, the blanket of heavy rain currently over the United Kingdom has caused another match to be called off. This time it’s Wakefield against Huddersfield – Andy Raleigh’s testimonial match.
The Giants said in a statement: “This afternoon’s trial game against Wakefield Wildcats at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium has been called off due to a waterlogged pitch.”
Wakefield said: “Following a pitch inspection at 11.45am by the referee, the pitch was deemed unplayable.
“Supporters who have purchased tickets will be able to get a full refund from either the Ridings Centre Store or Stadium Box Office from Monday morning.”
