Relieved Radford delighted with victory

Lee Radford admitted that he was feeling the pressure in Hull FC’s win over Wakefield.

Just four days after losing to the Wildcats, Radford’s side got their revenge with a 31-24 victory that boosts their chances of finishing in the top eight of Super League.

Marc Sneyd’s field goal thirteen minutes from time secured victory, however Radford revealed that he was on the edge.

“It was nerve wrecking right until the end,” he admitted.
“I thought there were a couple of special performances today. Jack Logan was outstanding and Gareth Ellis’s determination to play and his performance just shows everyone why he has done what he has done in the game I think.”

“It was a tough way to go out of the eight on Wednesday, it’s been a tough week since the Leeds game but we got the win  and we can build on that. When we put ourselves under pressure we struggle, but when we go out there and just play we are a good side and I think that was key today.”
