Rowley plays down Bradford rivalry

Leigh Centurions coach, Paul Rowley has poured cold water on talk of the club’s apparent rivalry with Bradford Bulls, saying all that matters is their own fortunes.  They are not worrying about anybody else.

The Centurions will travel to Odsal this Sunday to take on Bradford, in a rematch of the feisty opening day clash between the sides, so all eyes will be on how things play out between the two Championship heavyweights.  Rowley does not believes it matters, however, if they clinch top spot in the Championship at the expense of second-place Bradford, which they could do by winning on Sunday.

“We have no special feeling towards any particular club, ” he told the Telegraph and Argus.  We are concerned with ourselves and no-one else.

“It would mean no more claiming top spot at Bradford than it would at any other club.”
