Salford Red Devils chief executive Martin Vickers has knocked back any suggestions that Harrison Hansen and Cory Paterson are set to leave the club.
It was revealed yesterday how Tim Sheens let slip in a press conference that the key duo were set to leave the club at the end of the season, with Sheens saying: “In real terms, the players who are leaving, particularly Harrison and other players like Cory (Paterson) and so on, are all playing well for the club.”
But now Vickers has told BBC Radio Manchester that they have had no formal offers for either captain Hansen or influential forward Paterson.
“The reality is both Hansen and Paterson are contracted players for 2016 and we have had no formal offer for either player,” said Vickers.
“Both players remain firmly focussed on our crucial game against Leigh on Sunday.
“Tim Sheens and the coaching staff are making good progress in the building of a strong side for 2016 and, if there are any offers for such players at the end of the season, Tim will decide on such issues.”
