Salford Red Devils have reportedly closed down their Academy, bringing an end to their under-19s setup.
Rumours have been gathering pace for some time that the Red Devils were to cease running an under-19s side, leaving them with no bridge between youth level and the first team.
TotalRL understands it is a costs issue which has prompted the decision from Salford, who only secured their Super League status in the Million Pound Game.
