Sam Burgess defiant after Warrington Wolves hit new low

WARRINGTON WOLVES boss Sam Burgess was defiant after his side hit a new low, losing 25-12 to bottom club Salford Red Devils.

Burgess insisted he would not change his ways despite presiding over a side that has lost five of its last six with the season effectively over.

“It is tough, but it won’t stop the way I coach,” he said. “It is not going to stop the way I present myself or who I am.

“I am not keen to leave, I am actually talking about staying longer which will shock everybody.

“I am committed to what we are doing, I believe in this club, the structure of the place, in our juniors and who we have here.

“No doubt I have some hard work to do in the off-season… I have tried everything that has worked with me and teams that I have been a part of but, at the moment, it is just not working.”
