Sandow released by Parramatta ahead of Warrington move

Parramatta Eels have confirmed that they have released Chris Sandow with immediate effect pending lodgement by the NRL – opening the door for him to complete a move to Warrington.

Sandow was understood to have already agreed a two-year switch to the Wolves for 2016 and 2017, but was keen to get a release from Parramatta to finish the season in Super League with the Wolves several months earlier than expected.

It now seems that a move is imminent ahead of tomorrow’s transfer deadline of July 25, with Sandow now destined to join the Wolves.

Warrington’s chief executive Roger Draper confirmed the move to the Warrington Guardian today, saying: “We are very hopeful that we will have secured Chris both for 2016 and 2017 and also for the remainder of the season.”
