Sheens demanded response after “disastrous” first half

Hull KR coach Tim Sheens demanded a response from his players at half-time after a disastrous showing in a 22-0 first half at Headingley.

The Robins fought back admirably to lose by only four points to the Rhinos after Sheens laid into his troops at the break.

“I demanded from them that we won the second half and we did that, and I think there were some good signs there after a disastrous Easter.

“This game is still Easter in real terms because that’s three games in ten days, and looking around the grounds, there have been some blowout scores today too.

“We carried guys today who were injured and we had another teenage forward (Owen Harrison) in there who’s not long out of the academy.”
