Stats Zone: Super League Round 16

The Super League action resumes this weekend after last week’s dramatic Challenge Cup action, with Round 16 of the competition taking place. It all began with that dramatic West Yorkshire derby between Leeds and Huddersfield on Thursday night, with two more televised games to keep fans interested across the weekend.

As always, TotalRL.com is keeping fans on the pulse ahead of the weekend, by bringing you the most important stats and facts ahead of what is set to be an outstanding weekend of Rugby League!

Feature Game: Wakefield Trinity Wildcats v London Broncos (Friday, 8pm)
Wakefield have won their last four meetings with London, with the Broncos’ last victory against the Wildcats coming 36-0 at the Twickenham Stoop on 31 March, 2012.

The capital side never won an away game at Wakefield as Harlequins. The Wildcats were victorious in all six Super League meetings at Belle Vue between 2006 and 2011.

London Broncos’ last away win against Wakefield was 36-12 on 25 May, 2003 – following that game the sides fought out a 26-26 draw later in the 2003 season. The Wildcats then won home meetings with the Broncos in 2004, 2005, 2012 & 2013, and so are undefeated by the capital side in eleven home fixtures.

Wakefield’s Richard Mathers has scored tries in the Wildcats’ last three meetings with London Broncos (1-1-4).

Career Milestones
Chev Walker needs one appearance to reach 300 for his career. Walker has played 65 games for Bradford since 2011, and was previously with Leeds (183 games, 1999-2006) and Hull KR (34 games, 2008-2009). He has also represented Great Britain (6 Tests, 2004-2005), England (6 games, 2000-2001), England ‘A’ (1 game, 2002), England under-21s (2 games, 2001) and Yorkshire (2 games, 2001 & 2003).

Ian Kirke needs one appearance to reach 300 for his career. Kirke has played 207 games for Leeds since 2006, and was previously with Hull KR (18 games, 2000), York Wasps (8 games, 2002), Dewsbury (45 games, 2002-2004) and York City Knights (21 games, 2005).

Gregory Mounis needs one appearance to reach 250 for his career. Mounis has played 222 games for Catalan Dragons since 2006, to go with 27 appearances for France (2004-2013).

Jamie Foster needs 18 points to reach 1,000 for his career. His total of 982 has been scored as follows: 618 for St Helens (2010-2012 – 34 tries, 241 goals), 110 for Hull FC (2012 – 5 tries, 45 goals) and 254 for Bradford (2013-2014 – 13 tries, 101 goals).

Leon Pryce needs two tries to reach 200 career touchdowns. His total of 198 has been scored as follows: 94 for Bradford (1998-2005), 73 for St Helens (2006-2011), 20 for Catalan Dragons (2012-2014), 5 for Great Britain (2001-2002 & 2005-2007), 3 for England (1999-2001 & 2008) and 3 for Yorkshire (2001-2003).

Danny Tickle needs three tries to reach a career century of touchdowns. His total of 97 has been scored as follows: 10 for Halifax (2000-2002), 34 for Wigan (2002-2006), 47 for Hull FC (2007-2013), 1 for Widnes (2014), 1 for England (2012) and 4 for England ‘A’ (2002-2003).

Club Milestones
Jon Wilkin needs one appearance to reach 300 for St Helens. Wilkin made his Saints debut as a substitute in a 38-12 Challenge Cup win against Batley at Knowsley Road on 28 February, 2003.

Olivier Elima needs one appearance to reach 100 for Catalan Dragons. Elima is in his second spell with the club, having first made his debut off the bench in a 26-24 win at Wigan on 11 April, 2008. He went on to make 73 appearances in three seasons. After two years with Bradford, he returned to the Dragons and made his second debut as a substitute in a 32-24 win at Hull KR on 3 February, 2013. He has since played 26 games for the club.

Ryan Atkins needs three tries to reach a century of touchdowns for Warrington. Atkins has scored 97 tries in 138 appearances for the Wolves since 2010.
