Sunday round-up: Leeds edge out Hull KR as York break records

Kallum Watkins kicked four penalties as Leeds held off Hull Kingston Rovers to win 20-18.

In the only Super League game of the day, the Rhinos came from six points behind to defeat Tim Sheens men.

Leigh Centurions moved up to fifth in the Championship as three late tries saw them see off a gutsy Barrow side 46-18.

Sheffield Eagles moved four points clear of the relegation places while Featherstone Rovers kept the pressure on Toronto with a 50-12 win over Batley. Luke Briscoe scored again to equal Martin Offiah’s modern-day record of scoring in 15 straight games.

In League 1, York City Knights broke two British Rugby League records with a 144-0 win over West Wales Raiders.

The margin of victory and number of points scored in a single game saw records from 1994 broken.

Elsewhere, Bradford defeated Doncaster 32-6 in the top of the table clash. There were also wins for Oldham, Whitehaven, Newcastle, North Wales and London Skolars.
