SYLVAIN HOULES is pleased to see Toulouse Olympique coming good after securing a third straight win.
The promoted side now have seven wins after beating York Knights 30-22, with most of the job done in a first half they finished 28-0 ahead.
“York are a very resilient side, as they’ve proved in recent games, but we played well in that first half, scoring points when we needed to,” said coach Houles.
“They came back well which is what you would expect at this level but we have things to work on before next weekend’s derby against Catalans.
“We had tough moments in the second half but you have to manage such situations and I thought we dealt with them well.
“Each player has responsibilities in their own game plus there is the team ethic which I thought we handled well.
“Three quarters through the season, we are getting to know our job – the players are getting to understand their roles in the side which is a positive sign.
“The conditions weren’t that easy with the heat and a slippery ball, but keeping a clean sheet up to half-time was important to us.
“The second half was a different story but we adapted well against the pressure and regrouped well to claim the victory.”
